Better now, stupid flamin ISP, big joke like everything else where I am. As nice as Singapore is I wish if I had to live in this region I'd prefer to be down in NZ, I miss a colder climate and a real country so much.

I am English, Newcastle specifically, I still own a home there. I lived in Scotland for a long time, and hated it for most of that time I might add. I currently live in Singapore but have travelled many parts of the world for work, including a very brief visit to NZ.

If you ever get to Auckland maybe we could organise a LAN around it? :) Just remember to pack your PC (well... we can organise a monitor).

I've got my Dell XPS M1730 with every single extra, laptop/portable gaming rig :)

My visit consisted of 2 airports then new plymouth heli terminal and flight 100 km out to a ship called Rockwater 2 riding out severe heavy storms 2 weeks trying to assist an ROV crew to do a leak detection survey at Tui UMUROA FPSO after a problem comissioning a satellite well and riser, back to port, 3 hours in a new plymouth pub (like a big wooden cabin, forget the name) then 2 airports :(

I'd love to live in NZ, friends emigrated there years ago for work in IT and have family apparently own big construction company in Auckland area but never met them. I could get another Delica if I lived there ;D

I started off multi player gaming back with Doom 2, Duke Nukem 3D etc. - I used to pick up mates and PC's then ferry them all to whoevers flat, build the lan and then take it all back where it belonged, ever explained to a policeman what youre doing running back and forth in a city street at 4am loading a carful of PC's lol. We would do that 2 or 3 times a month for a whole weekend each time and have a big party at same time - good times.

I dont think I'll make it down anytime soon but one day mabye :)

I used to design maps for DN3D and Doom 2, we used to test them out on our LAN's, one DN3d map even had a lock in smoking room with screens that showed most of the map for entertainment, got the itch to try and do a 2142 map sometime but I reckon its a lot more complicated than back then.

Always felt the terrain in 2142 maps is too flat, lots of valleys and ridges/hills would be fun. Also wondering if a vertical map like a tower or a cliff face would be do-able.
