Well hello, I'm just posting here out of boredom. Can't find a game to be cemented on. Skyrim (modding alone = PC master race) and The Binding of Isaac are going off and on with each other currently, and Battlefield Heroes' community turned to absolute shit a while ago. Can't find a real multiplayer title to enjoy.

I've gotten BF3 (Limited Edition too) since last year, but I've never really been able to get into it. The only thing I'm aware of at the moment is that a friend of mine who runs the G9 clan, has their own Australian server. That's about it. And that Close Quarters is out as well as BF Premium.

So yeah, I've pretty much been hiding underneath a rock when it comes to Battlefield games, can anyone help me catch up?

Yeah, there was something about 2142 that was awesome. Apart from Titan mode and a good community (in comparison to others that is). It was genuinely a good game before Bad Company 2 came and killed it.

I actually went to pre-order Borderlands 2. When I saw the leaked footage last year, it looked as if it improved over the weak points of the original - there's a mini-map, "one-point wonder" skills, weapon manufacturers are actually all different, and better missions/quests from the looks of things.

As for new Counter-Strike, I'm glad to see a release date, but I don't think I would play it often. CSS already sits in my library collecting dust unless a friend wants to play GunGame. It's alright I guess, maybe a little too competitive at times.

Since you're going through Skyrim, I might as well link over a mod list I made here. They just make the game so much better.

Im in the same boat, bored and looking for a new game. I brought the mmo "The Secret World", and while the combat is involved and excellent, the game was released with a team-matching system. This eventually lead to me spending more time spamming chat "LOOKING FOR GROUP" than actually playing the game, so I've stopped.

Guildwars 2 is due end of August, but as good as it looks I will be waiting a week or two before considering it, see what the feedback and reviews say.

BORDERLANDS 2. Pre-Ordered, good as brought. I loved the original, and the expansions, and everything I've read and watched so far about Borderlands 2 leads me to believe it will be an excellent sequel. Especially being twice the size of Borderlands 1. More gun effects. A trillion times more loot. BRING IT ON!!!

"You don't need a bigger gun, you just need to fire more bullets!"

Petey, just copy ur saved games folder to somewhere else. Just incase.

Then you're safe to screw around with some of the awesome mods.

The one thing you may have to worry about would be savegame bloat. This is when the file size for saves go high, but I'm not sure when a file becomes big enough to be considered 'bloated'. Mine are like 8-13 MB each.

Apart from that, read the description/ReadMe files for mods for any known issues with them. Blackreach Railroad for one instance, causes issues with the Helgen sequence/tutorial if you start a new character, but other than that, most should be relatively safe, and since I'll assume everyone else here has a beefy PC, it should tank those high-res mods and maybe even some ENB configs.

If a mod is prone to cause some issues, I usually list down the dangers of them. Otherwise, if you are smart enough, you'll be fine.
