A month ago you were busy telling Jason and I that nothing was faster than a your card... You didnt believe us that twin 5870's on one card were faster.

Go slow on the OC'ing your card, just do it in 2 or 3% increments, the heatsink on it will be working really hard as it is, without sticking an additional 15% odd extra heat into it. Its probably possible - my 4850's all run happily over 700Mhz from a stock 625 ( I think? )

Ooooo oooo ooo kay ......black screen reboots are an indicator that drinking heavily and overclocking your gpu can be seriously stupid

Back to the drawing board

You didnt cook it did you??? :o:ohmy:

From my reading, the 5970 is not the most overclockable card around, due to its limited ability to get decent cooling, and also voltage demand on a single card which was already engineered to its limit.

But read up on the various OC'ing forums, and do it slowly.

I got my I7 to 4.4Ghz on air cooling while still being stable after a lot of fiddling around, albeit running near 80 degrees under load. I am sure that a moderate oc is easily possible. Your only talking of a 13% oc on the GPU.
